Spacious and clean, the King Room was a pleasant surprise with a comfy bed and efficient cooling, despite its size. The presence of a mini-fridge and microwave was a significant convenience. Located just 13 minutes from town, it offered a safe, quiet environment that enhanced the overall experience. Although there was no free breakfast, the value for the proximity and cleanliness was excellent.

Convenient access to public transportation.
I experienced quite a lot of noise from the nearby trains, which was quite disruptive during my stay. The bed was a bit too firm for my comfort, making it difficult to sleep well. Additionally, the hotel seemed old and in need of updates, with visible cracks in the walls that were concerning.

Just a reliable pick for a weekend in Houston with very good value for money. The building is well kept and very well lit at night. Bring ear plugs, as it gets pretty loud with the Metro trains passing by frequently.

How it stacks up, my honest take
I stayed for 3 nights in a roomy, tidy King Room. The decor may be outdated, but the comfort levels and amenities impressed me! It’s only 13 minutes from downtown, with helpful staff. Just a bit noisy due to nearby streets. Definitely a good deal if you manage expectations well!

Great location near downtown. Easy access to public transit, which is a major plus. The King Room was spacious and had a nice A/C unit that worked well during the hot days. I appreciated the convenience of the mini-fridge and microwave in the room. it saved me from needing takeout all the time. The bed was comfy enough, although I found it a bit firm for my taste. The cleaning service was consistent and kept everything tidy. Had some noise issues due to the nearby light rail, especially during the night. If you plan to sleep late, definitely pack some earplugs. Though I was a little worried about the area being unsafe, I felt quite secure during my stay, especially with the well-lit parking lot.

The rooms were cozy and perfect for chilling after our adventures at the Museum District and Discovery Green. It's a solid choice for friends looking to explore together. Just keep in mind that it’s a good idea to have a car, as dining options nearby are limited and can close early.
We experienced quite a bit of noise from the nearby Metro trains, which could be a problem if you’re sensitive to sound.

The stay was pleasant with a spacious room that offered good cooling during the hot summer. Having a mini-fridge and microwave was a bonus, as it allowed me to save on meals. Despite being in a less desirable part of town, I felt safe and appreciated the proximity to public transport, making it easy to get around. Although the bed was a bit firm for my taste, the overall experience met my needs well for my business trip.
